APPLY TODAY VOLT is looking for a motivated Assistant Machine Operator in the City of Ontario , California! Our prestigious client, designs, produces, and prints custom boxes and packaging materials, helping clients bring their brands to life through high-quality packaging. PLEASE NOTE: This position is different from warehouse packing; The focus is on the creation and printing of packaging; This is NOT a Packing of products into boxes position. This position is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within the manufacturing field, and for someone who has similar experience Key Responsibilities: Assist in the Set Up and Operation of packaging machines. Help run materials through machines based on production specifications Ensure correct materials are used for each job Perform quality inspections to ensure standards are met Accurately complete inventory entries Participate in two-person feeds as needed Support machine operators and respond to production needs Follow all safety protocols and report maintenance concerns Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned Preferred Qualifications: Manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry preferred Able to read a Tape Measure accurately and quickly Understanding of basic equipment function and design Able to read and interpret product layouts and production specs High school diploma or equivalent preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to handle or feel. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 - 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and colored dyes. Exposure to wet and humid conditions. Exposure to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration, such as Color Dyes. Noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Must always wear PPE. (Noise reduction Ear Plugs, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses & Gloves) NO Jewelry and No-Lose Clothing. MUST WEAR Steel Toe Shoes. SHIFT / PAY RATE: $19.00 - $20.00 (DOE) 2nd Shift 1:30PM - 10:00PM OT (8 hours daily) MONDAY ?
