Job Description:
JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple
western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy
under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as
J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test
and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting
aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and
tomorrow's global challenges. JOB SUMMARY ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Performs a variety of engineering tasks under
general supervision of a senior-level engineer in design,
development, manufacturing, testing, installation, integration,
sustainment, operations, and maintenance of software, electronic,
and/or mechanical equipment and systems. Work will involve some
evaluation, originality, or ingenuity and is generally performed as
a member of a development, sustainment, or operations & maintenance
team. Possess knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
Familiarity with configuration management tools such as git or
subversion. Familiarity with documentation standards such as Wiki,
Doxygen, QDocs, etc. Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating
systems. Knowledge of Qt (C++) or other comparable cross platform
development tools. Possess knowledge of embedded software
development. Able to conduct research and reference reading to
assist higher-level engineers in obtaining technical information.
Able to perform engineering tasks that are varied, with established
deadlines, and may be somewhat difficult in character. Able to plan
and carry out successive engineering steps and resolve technical
problems by standard practices and techniques. Able to support
projects with limited scope or parts of more complex projects with
detailed instructions on the intent and scope of the tasks to
accomplish. Able to generate sections of design specifications of
more complex projects or complete specifications of less complex
projects using systems engineering processes. Able to use
computer-assisted test methods, conducts laboratory investigations
on equipment or systems. Able to assist in preparation of reports,
correspondence, or technical studies. Educated in currently
approved standards, code, and procedures applied to the engineering
specialty. Able to prepare, deliver, and submit technical
presentations for in-process design and review meetings. Perform
other position-related duties and assignments as directed.
REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE A Bachelor
of Science in engineering from an ABET-accredited academic
institution and two years of related engineering experience or an
accredited Master of Science in engineering are required for this
position. In addition, an Engineer II must possess the following
qualifications: Professional knowledge of applicable engineering
concepts and principles Familiarity with related engineering fields
Practical knowledge of test methods and practices sufficient to
perform routine to more complex engineering procedures and to
prepare or make minor modifications of standard test procedures or
test equipment work instructions Working knowledge of computer
systems and computer-based engineering tools
Planning/organizational skills and the ability to work under

their job. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed in a typical office
environment with no unusual hazards. Occasional lifting (up to 20
pounds), constant sitting with occasional use of computer terminal,
constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant
use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant
mental alertness are required. Travel to remote company work
