We are currently looking for an Automation Machine Maintenance Technician to work for a Las Vegas area medical device company. Contract: 3-4 months Pay Rate: $40-45/hour DOE Responsibilities: Strong working knowledge and background in filling, dispensing, and capping machinery Work in a team or autonomously to complete work orders and provide maintenance support in a high speed manufacturing environment. Install, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment. Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness. Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts. Design testing methods and test finished products or process capabilities to establish standards or validate process requirements. Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods. Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards. Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations. Investigate or resolve operational problems, such as material use variances or bottlenecks Purchase equipment, materials, or parts. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, 4 year industrial mechanical experience, and/or two-year technical degree preferred An advanced degree is a plus Experience from projects preferably in the medical device, biotechnology, and/or pharmaceutical industries Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds Knowledge of safety policies and procedures is required Must be able to continuously stand, bend, and twist.
