Expert Staffing West Hiring! Press Assistants needed! Call our office for more information 805.253.3246 1st shift: 5am to 5pm 2nd shift: 5pm to 5am 3/4 day work weeks (including weekends), 12 hour shifts. Entry level position $18-19 an hour starting -Press assistant will be working around inks and solvents to clean parts. It will smell like nail polish remover. They will also offload rolls of plastic from the machines. We are seeking a dedicated Press Assistant to join our team and support the production of high-quality printed materials. As a Press Assistant, you will work closely with the Press Operator to ensure the smooth operation of printing presses and related equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to learn about the printing industry. Key Responsibilities: 1. Assist the Press Operator in setting up and operating printing presses. 2. Load and unload materials onto the press, such as paper, ink, and plates. 3. Monitor the press during operation to ensure quality and make adjustments as needed. 4. Perform routine maintenance on the press and troubleshoot issues that may arise. 5. Keep accurate records of production and assist with inventory management. 6. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Previous experience in a printing environment is a plus. - Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
