Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: NRP, Stable, AWOHN Intermediate or Advanced, ACLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Labor experience Postpartum experience Well baby care Stabilization of critical newborns for transfers Description: This facility features a state-of-the-art, modern design. It is licensed with a variety of medical/surgical beds, intensive care beds, and a labor, delivery, and postpartum unit. The emergency department operates around the clock. The surgery department includes multiple operating rooms and endoscopy suites. Advanced diagnostic imaging is available for both outpatient and inpatient testing. A Picture Archival Communication system provides physicians with instant access to high-quality digital images. The unit has a total of 9 beds. Patient ratios vary based on acuity. Equipment utilized includes IV pumps, epidural pumps, fetal monitoring equipment, fetal Doppler, and syringe pumps. The electronic health record system is used for documenting patient care. The patient population served includes laboring patients, postpartum individuals, and neonates. Flexibility in scheduling is important for this role. A collaborative and team-oriented approach is essential.
