Job Title: Accounting Manager Location: Las Vegas, NV Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt Department: Finance / Accounting Compensation: $85,000 – $105,000 Position Overview The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and applicable regulations. This role partners closely with senior finance leadership to support financial reporting, drive process improvements, and develop the accounting team. The Accounting Manager plays a critical leadership role within the Finance function, balancing strategic support with hands-on operational execution. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Compliance Support the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets. Ensure adherence to GAAP and applicable tax regulations; coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors as needed. Oversee payroll-related accounting activities, including funding validation, tax reporting, and compliance with applicable labor regulations. Accounting Operations & Process Improvement Support daily operations across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting functions. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within accounting workflows. Monitor compliance with state and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements. Manage reconciliation of benefit and insurance-related invoices, including workers’ compensation and health plans. Budgeting & Cost Control Assist with the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost containment and efficiency gains. Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights that support business planning and decision-making. Credit & Collections Oversight Oversee customer credit documentation, including applications and credit evaluations. Partner with the Accounts Receivable team to manage collections efforts and recommend strategies for resolving outstanding balances. Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff, supporting professional growth and performance. Maintain clear documentation, procedures, and work instructions for accounting processes. Promote a collaborative, accountable, and continuous-improvement–oriented team environment. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax compliance. Proficiency with accounting systems and financial reporting tools. Ability to analyze financial information, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations. Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop accounting teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. Effective problem-solving and negotiation skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibility. Hands-on experience with GAAP, tax compliance, and financial reporting. CPA or CMA preferred but not required. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Work Environment & Expectations Full-time role requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, with flexibility for occasional extended hours as business needs dictate. Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment requiring adaptability and attention to detail. High standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct are required.
