Job Description Payroll and HR Audit Specialist Location: Las
Vegas Reports To: VP of Human Resources Job Summary: The Payroll
and HR Audit Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate
and timely processing of weekly payroll, conducting audits of
payroll and HR data, sending weekly reports, managing State
websites, creating reports and participating in audits, and
ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll
processing, HR audits, experience with system implementations. Key
Responsibilities: Process Payroll: Manage the end-to-end payroll
process, including data entry, payroll calculations, deductions,
and payroll tax compliance. Ensure accurate and timely distribution
of employee salaries and benefits. Process and Certify Payroll:
Manage the end-to-end payroll process weekly, including Davis-Bacon
Certification, data entry, payroll calculations, deductions, and
payroll tax compliance. Ensure accurate and timely distribution of
employee salaries and benefits. Conduct HR Audits: Perform regular
audits of payroll records, HR data, and employee files to ensure
accuracy, compliance with company policies, and adherence to
regulatory requirements. Identify discrepancies and recommend
corrective actions. Compliance Management: Stay up-to-date on
federal, state, and local payroll, HR, and credit card regulations.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and credit card
policies. Implement corrective measures to address any compliance
issues. Data Analysis: Analyze payroll, HR, and data to identify
trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. Generate reports,
metrics, and insights to support decision-making and enhance
operational processes. Process Improvement: Continuously review and
streamline payroll, HR audit, and processes to increase efficiency,
accuracy, and compliance. Implement best practices and automation
tools to optimize operations. Employee Support: Address
payroll-related inquiries, HR audit questions, and issues from
employees. Provide guidance and support to resolve discrepancies
and ensure timely resolution of concerns. Software Experience:
Utilize software for payroll processing, HR data management, and
reporting. Leverage prior experience with an enterprise system to
optimize system functionality, generate reports, and streamline
processes. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate payroll
records, audit reports, credit card statements, and compliance
documentation. Prepare and submit payroll reports, tax filings,
credit card audits, and HR documentation as required. Training and
Development: Stay informed about changes in payroll laws,
regulations, credit card policies, and HR best practices. Provide
training and guidance to HR staff, managers, and employees on
system usage, compliance requirements, and audit protocols.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human
Resources, or related field or applicable experience Proven
experience in payroll processing, HR audits, credit card
management, and compliance practices. Familiarity with UKG
(UltiPro) software and prior experience with its functionalities.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving
abilities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to
interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency
in MS Office applications, especially Excel, and payroll/HRIS
